St Ambrose

A very warm welcome to St Ambrose class page.

In our classroom your children will be taught by Miss Whitmore.

On Wednesdays, Mr Knight teaches English, and on Thursdays Ms Hall teaches Art. Miss Knowles and Mrs Marsden support our learning.

Mrs Barson is part of our team too, as our lunch time supervisor.

We will all be working hard all year and appreciate the support of all the parents in developing our children's learning at home! Some ways children can extend their learning at home is by using Spelling Shed, Mathletics and TT Rockstars, as well as by completing their weekly homework.

Saint Ambrose

Each class at St. Patrick’s has a class saint that we learn about throughout the year. We talk about our Saint regularly and encourage the children to learn, talk and ask questions about their Saint. Each Saint has a Feast Day, where we celebrate their lives and what they did in order to become a Saint.

In Grenoside Woods, our class saint is Saint Ambrose. St. Ambrose was Bishop of Milan, and became very influential due to his music and writings about the faith. St. Ambrose’s feast day is the 7th of December.
