Hello and welcome to our Year 4/5 class page!

Miss Kirk is the class teacher with Ms Leary supporting each day and Ms Hague supporting some other days. Mr Fowler or Mrs Knowles also teach the class on Tuesdays to cover Miss Kirk’s PPA.  

Homework will be given out on a Thursday and should be returned on a Thursday for marking. Times Tables Rock Stars will also be used to set homework tasks throughout the year.  Children will be informed when this happens. All children have their TT Rockstars at home.

PE days are Monday and Tuesday and will be outdoors, weather permitting, so please ensure that your child comes to school wearing their PE kit on these days.

Please make sure you try to read daily at home!  If you read four times a week and it is written in your Reading diary you will get a special praise. Children will have many opportunities to read in school time and this will be noted in their Reading diary. 

Year 4/5 have had an amazing start to the year! They have all come back from Summer with a fantastic attitude - I know we will have a brilliant year! 

In the first week of school, we explored our new Literacy text Gorilla by Anthony Browne. Already, we have seen some wonderful work and attitudes from Year 4/5 and we look forward to seeing more!
