Catholic Life and Mission
Our mission and values
'Rooted in Kindness, Guided by Faith, Reaching for Excellence.'
At St Patrick’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, our faith is the foundation of everything we do. We cultivate a nurturing, Christ-centred environment where every child is inspired to strive to be the very best version of themselves. Guided by Gospel values, we prepare our pupils for their future beyond primary school, instilling a sense of hope, purpose, and confidence to achieve their highest dreams.

Core School Values
-
Faith & Hope: We place God at the heart of our school life. Our faith guides our daily decisions, actions, and interactions, giving us hope and trust in the future God has planned for us.
-
Kindness & Compassion: We treat everyone in our school family with warmth, empathy, and respect, following the example of Jesus in our daily lives.
-
Reconciliation & Forgiveness: We recognise that making mistakes is a natural part of growing. We teach our children to speak with honesty, say sorry sincerely, and embrace forgiveness to build strong, restorative relationships.
-
Responsibility & Integrity: We encourage our children to take ownership of their choices, behaviour, and learning, understanding their impact on the surrounding community.
-
Excellence & Aspirations: We encourage every child to nurture their unique God-given talents, work hard, and aim high so they are fully prepared for secondary school and the world beyond.
How We Put This Into Practice
| Children’s Role | Staff & School Role | |
| Faith & Environment | Let their faith guide their choices and participate actively in prayer and school worship. |
Provide a rich, safe and welcoming Christ-centred environment that nurtures spiritual growth. |
| Personal Growth | Strive to be the best version of themselves in learning and behaviour. | Role model Gospel values and support every child's academic, emotional, and physical development. |
| Restorative Actions | Take responsibility for their actions, own up to mistakes, and say sorry genuinely. | Guide children through restorative conversations with patience, fairness, and love. |
| Future & Dreams | Build resilience, dream big, and prepare with confidence for secondary education and beyond. | Instil hope, raise aspirations, and equip pupils with the life skills needed for future success. |
